Heterologous Challenge Against SAT1 Topotype III Isolate

We are proud to share that a recent independent heterologous challenge trial conducted by the prestigious Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (FAO reference center) has demonstrated that BIOAFTOGEN® SAT1 provides robust protection against the pandemic SAT1 topotype III FMD virus.

This study represents the first global challenge-study evidence of cross-protection against this emerging strain, showcasing 86% protection after just a single dose, and reaching 100% protection following a two-dose schedule.

Circulating field strains frequently mutate and differ antigenically from the strains included in standard vaccines. Demonstrating high-level protection against a heterologous (different) strain provides critical, real-world proof of cross-protection.
